Ball Magnifier This is a pocket type sample of what Fused Fiber Optics is all about. It demonstrates the abilty of this item to raise any printed material from a piece of paper or photograph to the top of this 2" length of Fused Image Guide. At the same time, a magnifying sphere is fused to the top of this Guide and you can more clearly see the wording or photo in about a 2X magnification. There are about 4,000 individual transmitting fibers in each of these Guides. Each fiber is about 50 microns in diameter, and they are placed side by side, coherently along the length of each Ball Magnifier. Fused Image Conduit Pack This is an example of what can be done with fused bundles of Fiber Optics other than straight lengths. In this series of Image Conduits, we show that the fused bundles can be bent into many different shapes and still transmit an exact picture from one end to the other with no distortion.
